The Maltese Archipelago, consisting of Malta,  Gozo, Comino and two small uninhabited islands, lies virtually in the centre of the Mediterranean Sea. 

Situated some 93kms south of the Italian island of Sicily and 290km from North Africa, Malta has the best of both worlds.  Whilst it is in the heart of the Mediterrenean, it is just a few hours’ flying time from most mainland European cities and has excellent intercontinental connections.
